CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Operate various medical equipment, including automated vital sign machines, oxygen saturation monitors, and patient care equipment.
- Perform basic EKG form monitoring and operation of the machine, recognizing life-threatening dysrhythmias and providing subsequent care as required.
- Assist with venipuncture, discontinuing intravenous lines, and performing 12-lead EKGs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Adapt to changes in healthcare technology and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
- Preferred qualifications include Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student, Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, or Phlebotomy training.
