Job Summary:
The Donor Center Technician is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our donor center. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare donors for the pheresis process, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the procedure.
- Operate equipment, including plasma collection machines, in accordance with standard operating procedures and FDA guidelines.
- Monitor donor safety and well-being during the pheresis process, responding promptly to any adverse reactions or issues.
- Facilitate donor flow through the center, minimizing wait times and ensuring a positive experience for all donors.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and data, using our electronic donor information management system.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a medical or plasma collection setting.
- Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a environment with frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
