Job Title: Commercial Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to join our team at Dobbs Equipment, LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell and promote our entire product line, including new and used John Deere equipment and allied products.
  • Grow and develop customer relationships to increase market share and drive sales growth.
  • Prospect and cold call to identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base.
  • Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, and prepare contracts to close orders.
  • Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
  • Maintain a contact management database and call log to track customer interactions and sales activity.
  • Manage market awareness and provide lost sales reports to inform sales strategy.
  • Provide regular status reports to sales management on sales performance and progress towards goals.
  • Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit.
  • Manage and control sales-related expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
  • Provide feedback to other departments to ensure seamless customer service.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Equipment sales experience and a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
  • PC literate with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Work Environment:

The work environment at Dobbs Equipment, LLC is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth. As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be required to work in a variety of settings, including customer sites, sales meetings, and company offices.

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision.
