The Position:
This role plays a critical part in student success, performing various tasks and general office duties involving frequent public contact and computer use. As the front desk administrative assistant, you will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors to the advising center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong verbal and interpersonal communication, energy, enthusiasm, and problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for students and visitors interacting with the academic advising center in person and via phone.
* Assist students with registering for classes, making appointments, and navigating college policies and procedures.
* Ensure all activities are conducted within established guidelines, including FERPA laws and other applicable regulations.
* Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.
* Collaborate with advisors on administrative tasks, including event planning, communication with students, faculty, and staff.
