Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at Cornerstone Building Brands. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facilities, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational systems, processes, and policies, resulting in increased efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Safety and Quality: Lead and participate in safety activities to support and elevate safety standards and expectations, while ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Leadership and Development: Coach, train, and develop direct reports to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are equipped to meet the challenges of the role.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate daily communication with production staff, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all departments are aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes, systems, and procedures, resulting in increased efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Financial Management: Manage and optimize labor costs, and ensure that all financial metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Strategic Planning: Play a significant role in long-term planning, including the development of strategic initiatives and the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, polymers, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership and vision, ability to improve safety, quality, and efficiency standards, budget development and oversight experience, strong experience in lean manufacturing concepts and implementation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
