Job Summary:

HHS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hospital Housekeeper/Floor Technician. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning procedures in assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Operate floor care equipment, such as buffers and extractors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Respond to housekeeping pages and reports to the Environmental Services Director for work scheduling.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the department Director.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently.
  • Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift.
  • Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 pounds) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
  • Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.).
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other hours as needed per assigned area.
  • Must have communication skills in English.
