Job Summary

Elephante Scottsdale is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, including staff management, menu planning, and ensuring exceptional food quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a high-performing kitchen team, providing guidance and coaching to junior staff members.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the company's standards and appeal to customers, ensuring a high level of culinary excellence.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including recruiting, training, and scheduling, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Manage food and product ordering, inventory, and budgeting to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and Department of Health standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of previous culinary supervisory/management experience in a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Two-year associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, menu planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and build a team.
  • Proficient with computers, POS systems, and technology, with experience with Craftable, Foodager, 7shifts, TripleSeat, and Google Drive preferred.
