Gourmet Chef

Join our team of culinary experts as a Gourmet Chef at Bashas' Fine Foods in Lone Mountain and Scottsdale. As a key member of our deli/bistro team, you will play a vital role in preparing, displaying, and merchandising our gourmet foods for sale.

• Collaborate with the deli/bistro team lead and executive chef to achieve sales, product quality, and customer service goals.
• Develop and present innovative menus, showcasing your creativity and expertise.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones, and taking special orders.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
• Engage with customers through smiles, greetings, and product information, offering suggestions and samples.
• Facilitate catered events from start to finish, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Work with the catering director and executive chef to plan and produce catering menus, ensuring profitability and company standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and salesmanship skills with clients and vendors.
• Maintain open communication with the deli/bistro department, catering department, and executive chef.
• Ensure compliance with health department policies, laws, and requirements.
• Control food costs and shrink by monitoring production and implementing reworks.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
