Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the workflows of an organization’s computer systems, ensuring reliable operation and configuration.
  • Collaborate with both on-site and remote users to coordinate site visits and upgrades.
  • Provide on-site and remote resolution support for trouble calls, offering Tier 2/3 support for Unix/Windows workstations and servers.
  • Oversee the administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and resolve issues for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 problems.
  • Communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
  • Install and configure operating systems and application software.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues involving applications, operating systems, and communications infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network components, implementing enhancements for reliability and performance.
  • Perform software installations and upgrades, maintaining compliance with established policies and service level agreements.
  • Create and manage procedures for maintaining linked databases, ensuring data safety and integrity.
  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of data center equipment.
  • Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance with affected customers.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of backup and recovery plans.
  • Ensure systems adhere to security guidelines using tools such as Retina and HBSS.
  • Maintain operational and configuration procedures.
  • Verify system availability using existing enterprise tools.

Qualifications:

  • Technical training, certifications, or a degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
  • TS/SCI Clearance required with eligibility for CI Poly.
  • Experience in UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration.
  • Familiarity with trouble reporting and tracking systems.
  • Ability to provide on-call support and respond to after-hour calls.
  • Willingness to travel 0-20% to local area sites.
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills in high-pressure environments.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move/carry equipment as necessary (maximum 40 pounds).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the imagery intelligence domain is a plus.
  • Ability to create and modify scripts across multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of customer processes and production systems is advantageous.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Red Hat, IRIX, Solaris, Sybase, Informix, SQL, and Imagery Production Chain.
  • General knowledge of database and network administration.
