Position Overview:
Prosperity Bank is on the lookout for a seasoned Commercial Banking Officer who excels in cultivating relationships to foster connections with lower-middle market businesses and non-profit organizations, typically generating annual revenues between $5 million and $500 million.

Your main responsibility as a Commercial Banker will be to enhance and maintain profitable client relationships. This will involve delivering tailored solutions that assist clients in achieving their objectives while maximizing our revenue throughout the duration of the partnership.

As a qualified relationship manager, you will operate independently, demonstrating proven client relationship capabilities alongside comprehensive product knowledge, technical skills, and robust transaction execution abilities. Effective credit process management will be a vital aspect of your role.

Performance Metrics:
Your success will be evaluated based on various marketing performance indicators, including but not limited to:

  • Client outreach and engagement
  • Proposal development
  • Revenue generation
  • Risk management
  • Building successful client relationships
  • Contributing to long-term franchise growth

Additionally, you will actively seek opportunities to cross-sell services within each client relationship and anticipate future client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively solicit commercial clients, striving to secure quality new business through client outreach, referrals, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Centers of Influence (COIs) while participating in various networking functions within the designated region.
  • Possess skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis.
  • Facilitate a diverse range of commercial and real estate loan transactions.
  • Manage loan closings typically ranging from $1 million to $10 million.
  • Support deposit growth by promoting and cross-selling additional banking products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Certification:
A Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience Requirements:
Candidates should have formal credit training and/or underwriting experience. A minimum of seven years of direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships is typically required.

Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing procedures is essential. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including familiarity with Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans, is necessary. The ability to expand loan portfolios, foster client relationships, and cross-sell banking products is crucial.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a proven track record in business development, are required.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
