Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Brown University Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Provide appropriate patient care, including newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper positioning and radiation safety.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of age-related developmental issues in pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.

Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Ultrasound training program or equivalent training as specified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Current ARDMS registered certification with RDMS designation and/or current ARRT registered certification Sonography with RT (S) designation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, as needed, and participate in on-call duty, weekend rotations, and orientation/clinical education of student radiographers.
