Job Summary:The Ultrasound Tech will provide high-quality imaging services to assist in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform ultrasound procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Provide patient care, including positioning, transferring, and maintaining patient safety.
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and maintenance.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Ultrasound training program or equivalent training as specified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current ARDMS registered certification with RDMS designation and/or current ARRT registered certification Sonography with RT (S) designation.
- One to three years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
