We are seeking a highly qualified Professor, Collision Technology Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to our institution's Core Values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabus and college policy, and continue to update and revise course content and teaching methodology to maintain currency and relevance.
- Student Advising and Support: Provide academic advising and support to students, including holding office hours and meeting with students as needed.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in discipline, division, and districtwide task forces and committees, and contribute to and participate in staff development programs.
- Community Engagement: Participate in community activities and services, and work with Library staff in the selection of print and non-print materials in the overall collection development of the Library.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform registration tasks, participate in official graduation ceremonies, and perform other duties as determined in consultation with the division dean, associate dean, or director.
- Education: Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Teaching experience is desired, with community college or university teaching experience being preferred.
- Certifications: Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) or Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is required.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a sedentary environment, with occasional walking and standing. The position requires talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking, and repetitive motions. The work environment is relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $56,697.00 to $70,888.26. The employer actively supports Americans with Disabilities Act and will consider reasonable accommodations.
