Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team at NorthBay Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients assigned to your care
  • Utilize a therapeutic professional relationship with patients and their families to promote, maintain, and restore health
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide safe, effective, and quality nursing care to patients following established standards and protocols
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
  • Nursing degree of BSN level or higher required (excludes grandfathered employees)
  • Valid, current, and unencumbered RN license by the State of California
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS required; ACLS within one year of hire; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Course required within 4 months of hire
  • At least six months of RN acute care experience or six months of same day surgical experience; one year of L&D RN experience highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • National nursing certification
  • Competent to circulate for c-sections within 6 months of hire; competent to perform OB surgical recovery within 3-6 months of hire depending on previous experience
  • Twenty hours of breastfeeding education that meets the Baby Friendly/WHO/Unicef curriculum requirements within 3 months of hire
