Job Overview:

As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the supply planning processes within the HDD sector. Your expertise will be crucial in formulating and refining factory production schedules and material requisition strategies, ensuring that Western Digital consistently meets its product delivery timelines while achieving corporate financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage I2 Plan processes, including the stewardship of weekly ASM, MC, and BC cycles, while actively monitoring supply responses and addressing any discrepancies between supply and demand.
  2. Coordinate MRP operations and conduct Material Plan assessments to identify and resolve bottlenecks in collaboration with the Materials and Procurement teams.
  3. Engage in strategic discussions with business units to align inventory management and explore trade-off opportunities.
  4. Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Optimization team to facilitate the effective implementation of Central Planning methodologies.
  5. Work in tandem with Asia Planning and Production Control teams to execute production strategies efficiently.
  6. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including Demand Planning, Materials Planning, Data Governance, and Product Operations Management, to ensure seamless operations.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  8. Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in Integrated Planning is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Master's degree in a related discipline is advantageous.

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with diverse individuals across all organizational levels.
  • Self-driven with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Proficient active listening skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions to ascertain client needs.
  • Ability to make sound, logical decisions based on factual information while considering both immediate and long-term implications.
  • Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes through influence and coordination.
