Overview

Rambus, a leading provider of high-performance memory interface chips and Silicon IP, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Engineer to join its Operations team in San Jose, CA.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a talented team of inventors and engineers to develop innovative products that accelerate data transfer and enhance security.

Responsibilities
  • Define test coverage, flow, characterization, and qualification for new product introductions.
  • Manage multiple new product introductions in parallel, from project kickoff to production.
  • Set up and maintain infrastructure for new product introductions, including detailed schedules and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the complete product life cycle, from design to high-volume manufacturing, bring-up, and RMA/sustaining support.
  • Conduct failure analysis and RMA support.
  • Optimize yield, cost, cycle time, and quality.
  • Analyze data to inform product development decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in new product introduction and product life cycle management.
  • Experience working with wafer fab foundries, test and assembly OSATs, and ATE.
  • Knowledge of DDR and high-speed digital products.
  • Ability to learn independently and problem-solve.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $115,900.00 to $215,000.00, depending on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
