Key Responsibilities:
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

  • Engage in daily operational discussions to address new challenges, provide updates on ongoing repairs, and report on completed projects.
  • Develop and oversee the maintenance department budget, prioritizing projects based on safety, efficiency, and urgency.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage external contractors necessary for project completion.
  • Establish timelines and schedules to ensure timely and budget-compliant project execution.
  • Create, implement, and regularly review safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory for machine parts, tools, and supplies essential for operations.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with departmental leaders to minimize operational downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine the need for adjustments, repairs, or part replacements.
  • Perform on-site repairs on all processing and packaging line equipment.
  • Fabricate necessary parts when inventory is low using various tools and equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on equipment and operational failures.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, sharing departmental policies and culture.
  • Provide regular feedback and conduct annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and develop performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Deliver training on the safe use of tools and machinery.
  • Oversee time and attendance for the maintenance team.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of electrical schematics and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, particularly with meat processing and packaging equipment.

Experience:
The candidate should have:

  • 7+ years of experience in a general manufacturing environment as a maintenance technician, preferably in the food industry.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role within industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of PLC wiring and ladder logic.
  • Experience in mechanical, electronic, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics repair.
