Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team at Shearers, a leading manufacturer of snacks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain production equipment and machinery
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Requirements
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience
  • Experience with mechanical systems, product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings
  • Ability to work within an integrated operating enterprise
  • Ability to manage priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Technician position is located in a manufacturing environment, which includes:

  • Exposure to high temperatures
  • Fumes or airborne particles
  • Moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Loud noise level
