Electromechanical Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team at Shearer's, a leading manufacturer of snacks in North America. As an Electromechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our machinery and equipment, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties, including inspections and calibration of equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on electromechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including PLC experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
