As the Custodial Services Team Leader, you will oversee custodial personnel to ensure that all University facilities are impeccably maintained. Your role will involve:

  • Assigning staff efficiently to meet cleaning demands and ensuring they have the necessary equipment.
  • Training team members in effective cleaning techniques and evaluating their performance regularly.
  • Gathering feedback from customers to enhance service quality and staff appraisal.
  • Managing various administrative tasks to support the Custodial Division's objectives, including payroll processing, attendance tracking, and work order management.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate's degree along with 2-4 years of relevant custodial or maintenance experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably within a unionized setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of custodial practices, safety standards, and supervisory techniques.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage time and attendance systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires:

  • Regular communication and physical activity, including standing, walking, and reaching.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions and maintain stamina for extended periods.
