Transforming Hospice Care at Home

Interim HealthCare Hospice is seeking a compassionate PRN ONCALL Hospice RN for weekend support starting Friday at 5:30pm till Monday at 8:30am. As the nation's first home care company, we are committed to helping patients live out their days in the most comfortable and meaningful ways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekends, as needs arise for our patients
  • Enable patients to spend quality time with loved ones and participating
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient's plan of care
  • Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
  • Educate family on the patient's prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals
  • Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient's mind, body, spirit and family
Requirements:
  • Valid car insurance
  • Prior Hospice experience 3+ years
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of Hospice nursing care
