As a Hospice ON CALL Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing hospice patient care after-hours and weekends, as needs arise for our patients
  • Enabling patients to spend quality time with loved ones and participating in activities that bring them joy
  • Working as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient's plan of care
  • Performing patient assessments, checking vitals, evaluating breathing, monitoring pain, administering prescribed medication and treatments
  • Ensuring accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
  • Educating family on the patient's prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • CPR certification
  • Valid car insurance
  • Prior Hospice experience (3+ years)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of Hospice nursing care
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
