- Medical Procedures: Take and record temperatures, pulse rates, and respirations, reporting deviations from normal to the primary or charge nurse.
- Specimen Collection: Obtain specimens as assigned, such as urine, stool, or sputum.
- Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including skin care, feeding, and mobility.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep patient units and non-patient areas clean, including wiping tables, storing equipment, and disposing of trash.
- Patient Orientation: Orient patients to their environment and develop rapport with patients, family, and significant others.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with charge nurses/primary nurses regarding patients' needs and requests.
- Code of Conduct: Understand and adhere to the Medical Center's Code of Conduct, Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with successful completion of an approved Nurses Aide training course.
- Certification: Maintain Nurses Aide Certification.
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a Nurse's Aide preferred.
