Production Supervisor Job Description

At Precision Castparts Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe manufacture of our products, ensuring quality and productivity requirements are met, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise hourly employees in the production process, ensuring adherence to process control procedures and quality control instructions.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise shift operations to meet production schedules and requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and morale.
  • Ensure all employees work in a safe manner and are properly trained in safety procedures.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and recommend pay increases, transfers, and promotions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus college-level courses or equivalent training in manufacturing, accounting, mathematics, and statistics.
  • Two to five years' experience in related production operations, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate team problem-solving and communicate effectively with employees and management.
