Position Overview:

As a Systems Security Analyst at Valiant Integrated Services, your primary role will involve performing comprehensive research on cyber threats from open sources, delivering intelligence assessments to enhance incident response strategies, and scrutinizing cybersecurity indicators to uphold operational integrity. You will play a vital role in supporting digital forensic investigations, drafting and evaluating analytical reports, and collaborating with partners during incident response initiatives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for updating and delivering cybersecurity training content.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute thorough open-source investigations on cyber threats to pinpoint and evaluate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Deliver intelligence assessments to bolster cyber incident response, ensuring prompt and effective management of security breaches.
  • Analyze cybersecurity indicators against standard operational security practices, providing alerts or escalations as necessary.
  • Assist in digital forensics and eDiscovery efforts, examining data to identify and address cybersecurity risks.
  • Draft and review cyber intelligence reports, ensuring the precision and relevance of analytical findings.
  • Support local and federal cyber and counterterrorism investigations with technical insights and analysis.
  • Facilitate incident response coordination for partners, including offering on-site assistance during cybersecurity incidents.
  • Revise and present segments of the Cyber Liaison Officer training program, disseminating knowledge and best practices in cybersecurity.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of encryption techniques and networking protocols.
  • Solid grasp of risk management methodologies and cybersecurity legislation, policies, and standards.
  • Familiarity with access control mechanisms and authentication technologies.
  • Expertise in systems security engineering and Risk Management Framework protocols.
  • Proficient in systems testing and evaluation methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain risk management and technology acquisition processes.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, risk management, incident response, or digital forensics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

Work Environment:

  • Flexible working hours: Analysts will follow a 4/10 schedule with adaptable start times and must be prepared to modify their schedule as required. Availability for after-hours support and responsiveness to emergencies at the fusion center is expected.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000. However, this is not a guaranteed salary range; actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, location, and potential contractual obligations, and may vary from the stated range.
