Your role will also encompass supporting digital forensic initiatives, crafting and evaluating analytical documents, and collaborating with partners on incident response strategies. Furthermore, you will be tasked with updating and delivering cybersecurity training materials. This position involves evaluating security measures, implementing protective strategies, and providing guidance on risk management and disaster recovery protocols.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough open-source investigations to identify and evaluate potential cyber risks.
  • Deliver intelligence assessments to enhance cyber incident response, ensuring prompt and effective management of security breaches.
  • Analyze cybersecurity indicators against standard operational security procedures, issuing alerts or escalations as necessary.
  • Assist in digital forensic and eDiscovery efforts, examining data to identify and address cybersecurity threats.
  • Draft and assess cyber analytical reports, ensuring the precision and relevance of intelligence findings.
  • Support local and federal cyber and counterterrorism investigators by providing technical expertise and analytical support.
  • Facilitate incident response coordination for partners, including on-site assistance during cybersecurity incidents.
  • Revise and present segments of the Cyber Liaison Officer course, sharing insights and best practices in the field of cybersecurity.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of encryption methodologies and computer networking protocols.
  • Strong grasp of risk management frameworks and cybersecurity legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with access control methodologies and authentication mechanisms.
  • Expertise in systems security engineering and Risk Management Framework standards.
  • Proficient in systems testing and evaluation methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain risk management and technology acquisition.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, risk management, incident response, or digital forensics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

Work Environment:

  • Flexible working hours: Analysts will follow a 4/10 schedule with adaptable start times and must be prepared to modify their schedule as required. Availability for after-hours response and willingness to engage with the fusion center during emergencies is expected.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000. However, this is not a guaranteed salary range; actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, geographic location, and potential contractual obligations, and may vary from the stated range.
