Amtec Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team in the design and construction of the upland section of a new Bulk Material Handling Marine Terminal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination
    • Monitor the cost and schedule of the assigned parts of the project.
    • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Engineering
    • Provide project definitions and guidelines to the contracted design firm.
    • Evaluate technical specifications for purchase of equipment, materials, and services.
    • Write technical specifications for materials and services when needed.
  • Technical Evaluation
    • Support technical discussions and participate in the negotiation of contracts for supplies and main services.
    • Coordinate the technical review of technical offers received by contractors and suppliers.
  • Construction Phase
    • Coordinate and monitor the proper and timely execution of construction works by contractors.
    • Report progress to the project manager.
Requirements
  • Civil or Structural Engineer (Bachelor or Master's Degree)
  • Project Management training or certification (desirable)
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering and project coordination
  • Engineering knowledge and experience in design and coordination of projects involving geotechnical analysis, earthworks, drainage, foundations, and concrete
