Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct initial and re-evaluations for students to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Administer and Interpret Psychological Tests: Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessments to inform educational planning and support.
  • Develop and Implement Individual Education Plans: Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as needed.
  • Intervention and Support: Provide individual and group counseling to address students emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.
  • Collaborate with School Teams: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Work with school teams to identify and address learning and behavioral issues within the classroom setting.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in school psychology and related fields.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certification: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school psychologist, preferably with K-12 experience.
