Job Summary:
As a Medical Records Clerk at Brown University Health, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort and file documents in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain confidentiality of patient records
Assist in the completion of various department projects
Data entry of information into the CMHC clinical record screens
Monitor information for accuracy and completeness
Notify and submit reports to the appropriate Program Manager and supervisor
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of one year-related experience and/or training
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate computer, printer, typewriter, copy machine, and fax machine
Ability to type accurately at a reasonable speed
Familiarity with medical/psychiatric terminology
Familiarity with policies and procedures
Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
Ability to perform duties independently and in a timely manner
Ability to handle many tasks at the same time in an organized fashion
