Position Overview

Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage and/or Food & Beverage Manager

Supervises: Greeter/Seater/Cashier, Server, Busser/Utility, Room Service Server, Runner, Bartender

Objective: To oversee and manage the activities of the Food & Beverage outlet and its personnel, ensuring prompt and courteous service to patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organizes dining reservations and coordinates special events or services for guests.
  2. Welcomes guests, guides them to their tables, and presents menus.
  3. Addresses and resolves guest complaints.
  4. Delegates work assignments and coordinates the efforts of outlet staff to guarantee timely and courteous service.
  5. Inspects serving stations for cleanliness and order, and requests necessary supplies for tables and service areas.
  6. May conduct interviews, train outlet staff, manage work schedules, and maintain time records for employees.
  7. May assist in menu planning, beverage preparation, and food order management.
  8. May process guest payments and reconcile receipts at the end of shifts to ensure accurate sales reporting.
  9. Recognizes and rewards staff who utilize their empowerment to exceed guest expectations.
  10. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Clear verbal communication.
  2. Ability to use judgment and reasoning to handle emergencies, such as sudden illness or service interruptions.
  3. Capable of performing a variety of tasks, often changing activities without prior notice.

This job description aims to accurately reflect the requirements of the position; however, management reserves the right to modify duties as business needs arise.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum one year as a cashier, two years as a server, and one year in direct sales or retail; or an equivalent combination of experience.

Certifications: TIPS Certification and Food Safety Certification

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Requires close and distance vision. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs. Continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of both fine and gross motor skills.
