Role Summary:

The Service Writer acts as the primary liaison for customers, ensuring exceptional service and fostering business growth within the branch.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main contact for customers, both via phone and in-person, cultivating strong relationships with key clientele.
  • Assess customer requirements, collect relevant information, and initiate work orders; provide estimates, develop claims, prepare repair strategies, schedule tasks, and keep customers informed about the status of their repairs.
  • Generate detailed work orders that include diagnostic strategies, estimates, and repair plans by evaluating the duration of repairs based on parts and labor availability; consult with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead before communicating with customers.
  • Collaborate with the Service Supervisor and/or Team Lead to allocate job assignments effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with essential customers; address customer inquiries regarding warranties and clarify charges.
  • Track key performance indicators for the workshop, focusing on labor efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Essential Experience:
Previous experience in customer service or automotive repair sales, seeking a career advancement opportunity.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years.


Desired Skills:
  • Strong customer interaction abilities.
  • Experience in a dealership or related field.
  • Proficient computer skills.
