Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide nursing services that adhere to the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association and hospice care guidelines. This includes conducting assessments, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, care managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and address patient needs effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and agency policies, ensuring all care provided is documented appropriately.
- Supervision: Oversee the work of nursing aides and other support staff, ensuring quality care delivery and adherence to protocols.
- On-Call Duties: Provide after-hours support as needed, responding to patient and family inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia and possess current BLS certification.
- Education: An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year in a healthcare setting is necessary, with a preference for experience in hospice, oncology, or home health.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CHPN certification is advantageous.
- Experience: Experience in caring for terminally ill patients and working in acute care settings is preferred.
