This is a summer internship opportunity in a quality assurance strategic operations team. The internship will run from June to August and applicants must be available for the entire duration.

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and broad thinker to help drive process improvements in our Strategic Operations team in Drug Substance Quality Assurance.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with basic operational excellence concepts such as process mapping, root cause analyses, lean management, visual KPI tracking, and project delivery.

The intern will work closely with our experienced team members to drive continuous improvement and improve performance.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and visualize performance data and potential performance opportunities.
  • Support problem-solving sessions through the use of standard methodologies to ensure correct root cause analysis and diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with global teams for VoC and ensure stakeholder engagement and project alignment.
  • Assist in driving implementation of solutions for process improvement initiatives.
  • Create process maps and visuals to help convey improvement opportunities and gains.
  • Assist in the preparation of workshops, meetings, presentations, and documentation related to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvements.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a science or project management degree program with at least 2 years of college experience. Industrial Engineering students are preferred.
  • Strong interest in Operational Excellence and Project Management with a focus on teamwork.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Tableau, Smartsheet, Visio, and AI/ML.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with process mapping techniques and tools is a plus.
