Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute advanced pricing and analysis requests with precision and accuracy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in major areas of underwriting, including special pricing and marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and the Financial & Underwriting team to define and achieve projects.
  • Assist in determining strategic goals of teams, including resource planning, education/training needs, policy development, and business growth.
  • Lead and manage client underwriting projects, presenting analysis to clients in a clear and confident manner.
  • Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management, underwriting models, client reports, and analytical deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with multiple carrier data and reporting systems to obtain claim data for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Analyze and challenge insurance company renewal calculations for fully-insured contracts.
  • Engage in educational opportunities to enhance underwriting knowledge, market trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Develop and execute training on underwriting and analysis topics.
  • Serve as a mentor to team members in the Financial & Underwriting team.
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Eight (8) or more years of related work experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced MS Excel skills required.
    • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
    • Ability to manage mid-level and large projects, as well as lead assigned teams to achieve goals.
    • Ability to work productively as an individual to accomplish assigned projects.
    • Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines.
