About the Role
  • Lead the design and implementation of coherent educational practices, curriculum writing, professional development, and assessment aligned to district initiatives and goals.
  • Direct assigned Learning and Leading personnel in the development and implementation of processes to ensure and strengthen staff knowledge, skills, competencies, and abilities.
  • Provide leadership for curriculum implementation, assessment, and resource selection for content areas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional & Program Management:
    • Oversee the development and delivery of Career and Technical Education (CTE), Collegiate Academics, Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), Fine Arts, Health, and Physical Education programs that incorporate district goals and support student achievement.
    • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with employers in the community to provide program enhancements and on-the-job training opportunities for CTE students.
  • Policy, Reports & Law:
    • Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and Board policy.
    • Participate in the research of applications for grants or revenue sources for assigned areas.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Eligible for a Valid Texas Teaching Certification preferred.
  • Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification preferred.
  • 6 years' experience including 3 years' classroom teaching experience and 3 years' supervisory experience as a campus principal or central administrator.
