Vocational Nurse Position

UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Vocational Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering direct nursing care to assigned patients, assessing their needs, and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assess patients' needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plans, recognizing patient care priorities and potential crises.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control and isolation procedures.
- Document patient care in all assigned records and adhere to internal controls and reporting structures.
- Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
- No experience required, but current BLS-HP certification is mandatory.
- Hourly rate is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.
- This is a non-benefit eligible position, limited to a maximum of 19 hours per week.
