About the Role

The Azure WAN Team is growing, and we're seeking a creative and detail-oriented engineer who can combine networking experience with software development fundamentals. We're passionate about automating every facet of the network to drive growth, ensure seamless connectivity, and deliver user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
  • Support the identification of dependencies and development of design documents for a product feature.
  • Design, develop, and build networking and automation components for the Wide Area Network.
  • Oversee components from the initial design phase through development and buildout.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
  • Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python.
