Job Title: Before School Group Leader

The Ludlow Community Center Randall Boys and Girls Club is seeking a qualified Group Leader to join our Before School Program team. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for providing supervision, guidance, and programming to children enrolled in our EEC licensed school age programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-yield activities and create an environment that engages youth and promotes priority youth outcomes in the areas of academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Provide positive role modeling to members and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities, receive guidance, instruction, and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
  • Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities, and provide first aid as needed.
  • Enforce Club rules consistently and fairly, and participate in special programs and/or events as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6 months experience working with children.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to interact with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
Working Conditions:

The work environment noise level is usually moderate to loud in an indoor and outdoor environment. General conditions include physical ability to lead and participate in group activities, which include, but are not limited to, swimming, team building, physical games, and activities.

Promote essential childcare activities, which may include, but are not limited to, the following activities: reaching, sitting, and standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting body, and lifting an average 40lbs.
