YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION

As a Cashier at Out of the Closet, you will play a vital role in our mission by offering a welcoming and supportive presence to shoppers, donors, and pharmacy patrons.

Your responsibilities will include processing sales transactions and addressing customer inquiries, with the opportunity to deliver exceptional service that enhances the reputation of AHF and encourages customer loyalty.

Additionally, improved sales performance will enable AHF to assist more clients in need. Accuracy in handling cash and credit transactions is essential to protect AHF and maximize store revenue.

By being approachable and helpful, you can also enhance the experience of your fellow team members, offering assistance whenever necessary.

Providing constructive feedback to your manager about service improvements will further enhance your contribution to the team.

Flexibility and adaptability in various situations will add consistent value to the Out of the Closet team.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills before groups of customers or employees are essential.

Mathematical Skills:
Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and measurements.

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Capable of addressing problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Additional Skills and Abilities:
Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while providing excellent customer service.
