Compliance Specialist

Trenton Systems is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Associate to join our team. As a Compliance Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes comply with various regulations and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Compliance Plans
Assist in developing compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria.
Prevent Compliance IssuesCollaborate with engineering design teams to prevent compliance issues and ensure that our products and processes meet regulatory requirements.
Develop and Document Compliance PoliciesDevelop, document, and provide training on compliance policies to ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance.
Attain ComplianceIsolate and resolve non-compliance issues, recommend product and process changes, and initiate engineering change orders to ensure that our products and processes are compliant.
Document CompliancePrepare and file Declarations of Conformity and other certificates to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
Review Compliance ReportsReview compliance reports for accuracy and summarize information for the organization or customer requests.
Identify Process ImprovementsIdentify improvements in processes, products, and services and provide input to the continuous improvement team to ensure that we are always improving and innovating.
Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Compliance PracticesTrack and understand emerging compliance engineering practices and standards, participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations, read professional publications, and maintain personal networks to stay current with industry developments.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsInteract with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering teams to resolve product non-conformances that could impact compliance.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience3+ years of experience in a compliance-related role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
SkillsExperience with Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, ability to use manufacturer data and spec sheets to analyze and document compliance to substance restrictions, strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills, and strong Microsoft Office skills.
Desired QualificationsExperience developing and coordinating testing with military or related standards, knowledge of FCC, CE, UL/CSA marking, and experience using mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
