Overview:
The Sales Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming store environment. This position encompasses various responsibilities related to customer engagement, product presentation, and overall store upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist every customer as they enter and exit the store.
- Efficiently handle transactions at the register.
- Stay informed about ongoing promotions and advertisements to effectively address customer inquiries and support product sales.
- Maintain an organized and tidy front-end workspace.
- Assist in receiving inventory, pricing merchandise, and organizing the sales floor.
- Communicate customer feedback and needs to Team Leaders as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire store.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least six months of experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays regularly.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
- Positive demeanor with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to push and pull loads up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending and twisting motions.
- Frequent gripping, reaching, and pinching with hands and arms.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
- Regular ability to see, hear, and communicate.
- Ability to maintain a state of alertness and safety while working.
