Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Quality Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will embody Servant Leadership principles to cultivate trust and facilitate open communication while ensuring adherence to the IPS Quality Assurance Program.

  • Examine contracts and specifications to confirm that customer requirements are integrated into work planning and reflected in shop work orders.
  • Interpret and analyze technical documents, drawings, data, manuals, and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct inspections at various stages—incoming, in-process, and final—to validate that all work aligns with specified requirements and procedures.
  • Assess materials, components, and products for conformity to specifications through testing and measurement.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Carry out quality assessments, surveillance, and audits to ensure standards are met.
  • Identify and investigate nonconformance issues, collaborating with management and supervisors to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review nonconformance reports to evaluate the effectiveness of resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with the IPS Quality Assurance Program.
  • Evaluate documented information to provide evidence of quality performance.

Qualifications:

  • An associate degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related scientific field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in electromechanical motor repair or related fields is essential.
  • Familiarity with nuclear codes and standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in quality assessments, audits, and non-conformance management is preferred.
  • Certification or willingness to obtain certification in non-destructive examination methods is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills are necessary.
  • Leadership skills to oversee Quality Assurance activities are important.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control processes and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
