The Digital Analytics team is part of the Global Digital Services product organization at First Citizens Bank. We are focused on creating a robust analytics team that delivers timely and actionable insights to product managers, enabling them to understand digital user behavior, explore opportunities, optimize digital experiences, and develop a leading digital platform.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will conduct high-level analyses and leverage data expertise. Your responsibilities will include translating business inquiries into analytical tasks, collaborating with internal subject matter experts, building analytical solutions, and providing actionable insights related to feature adoption, product performance, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics.

You will also participate in the design and delivery of solutions, such as data sourcing, dashboards, proprietary models, and visualization schemes, to meet the organization's needs. The ability to convey complex issues in a clear and understandable manner is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Identifying Business Objectives:

  • Capture and comprehend end-user requirements.
  • Utilize tools like data mapping documents, specification templates, and project plans to communicate stakeholder requirements and timelines effectively.
  • Employ appropriate prioritization and scoping frameworks to manage stakeholder expectations.

Data Analysis:

  • Understand the data lifecycle across the digital product ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify suitable data sources and definitions.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis, effectively communicating key insights derived from the analysis.
  • Address business inquiries from multiple stakeholders and assist product teams in making data-driven decisions.
  • Adhere to data security and governance guidelines while managing and communicating data insights.

Building Data Analytics Pipelines:

  • Design ELTL workflows for scalable and automated solutions.
  • Construct data analytics pipelines, incorporating quality checks, exploratory analysis, scheduled tasks, alerts, and access control, while collaborating with enterprise analytics technology teams for production deployment.
  • Develop and implement innovative analytical workflows and modeling approaches that leverage data assets, identifying optimal data insight tools, including advanced analytics and data science models.
  • Project manage the design, construction, and delivery of new analytical solutions with a pragmatic approach, evaluating multiple options.

Reporting and Insights:

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into tailored analytical solutions and communicate insights through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Essbase to create high-performing and scalable analytical dashboards.
  • Maintain the dashboard repository and minimize redundant solutions by collaborating with cross-functional analytics teams.
  • Contribute to the establishment of standards and best practices for the analytics organization.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience in analytics, modeling, or reporting, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Experience with data wrangling, workflows, and automation (e.g., SQL, Alteryx).
  • Familiarity with statistical software or coding languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
  • Demonstrated ability to create custom solutions that address business challenges.
  • Experience in presenting reports and data analytics findings.
  • Relevant experience in data and analytics within consulting or project execution.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt with a proactive attitude.
  • Prior experience in digital product analytics is advantageous.

Preferred Education Level: A Master's degree is a plus.
