Position Overview: As the Lead Statistical Analyst, you will lead a team of talented analysts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop statistical models, and deliver insights and recommendations to stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to your team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to a team of statistical analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  2. Project Management: Lead end-to-end statistical analysis projects, from scoping and planning to execution and delivery, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  3. Statistical Modeling: Lead the development and implementation of statistical models to analyze trends, forecast future outcomes, and identify relationships between variables, using techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, and multivariate analysis.
  4. Data Analysis: Conduct advanced exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, identify patterns, and detect anomalies, using statistical techniques and visualization tools.
  5. Hypothesis Testing: Design and execute hypothesis tests to evaluate the significance of relationships and differences in data, using appropriate statistical tests and methods.
  6. Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate analysis results and insights to stakeholders, using tools such as R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
  7. Reporting: Prepare and present analysis findings, insights, and recommendations in clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards, tailored to the needs of different stakeholders.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand requirements and deliver statistical analysis solutions that meet business needs.
  9. Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of analysis results by conducting thorough data validation and verification, and implementing quality assurance best practices.
  10. Documentation: Document analysis methodologies, assumptions, and findings in clear and concise documentation, ensuring transparency and reproducibility of results.
  11. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in statistical analysis and data analytics, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior analysts, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in statistical analysis, with a focus on conducting advanced statistical modeling and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading statistical analysis teams and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis, and multivariate analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ggplot2.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, with a passion for delivering high-quality analysis that drives business value.
