Financial Analyst II - Capital Markets Relations

Join National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, a leading provider of capital and financial products to not-for-profit utility systems, as a Financial Analyst II in our Capital Markets Relations team.

About the Role

This hybrid position requires onsite work at our headquarters office in Sterling, VA, as well as optional remote workdays. As a Financial Analyst II, you will perform analysis and review of financial products, including Loan Syndication and Leasing, and report on the Guaranteed Underwriter Program (GUP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the syndicated loan portfolio.
  • Compile loan advances in GUP database and report the monthly loan balance for the program.
  • Monitor loan activity and coordinate loan closings and funding activities.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities related to syndicated loan transactions.
  • Act as primary contact for loan inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance by supporting internal and external audit processes.
  • Identify opportunities for financial efficiencies and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan accounting, loan servicing, preferably with exposure to syndicated loans or commercial lending or leasing.
  • Experience with loan servicing systems such as ACBS desired.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of loan accounting principles and practices.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
