Key Responsibilities- Review and optimize the use of University financial system and data management processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement, configure, and manage all finance systems, processes, and data to ensure optimal performance and compliance with not-for-profit accounting standards.
- Optimize business processes by automating manual processes, utilizing AI and automation tools where appropriate, to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide direct support to finance, accounting, and accounts payable/receivable staff for day-to-day operational needs, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Maximize the usefulness and performance of financial systems and integration points, including deploying new modules, upgrades, and fixes to assigned software applications and systems.
- Develop and maintain custom solutions where necessary and appropriate, including developing system interfaces and system integrations.
- Maintain and perform upgrades on Gate Card software, ensuring seamless integration with other financial systems.
- Design, create, and manage database structures for development, testing, and production, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Lead small projects and actively participate on assigned projects, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Effectively communicate with customers, including internal constituents and outside vendors, to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
- Assist ITS and Finance in the development of best practices and actively engage in improving IT and finance processes.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in financial systems analysis, design, and implementation, with a strong understanding of not-for-profit accounting standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial software applications and database management systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
