Job Summary

Touro College seeks a highly qualified Instructor of Speech/Language Pathology to join our faculty team. As a full-time faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate classes, advising students, and contributing to the development of our Communication Sciences and Disorders program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach four undergraduate courses per semester in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Advise assigned group of students
  • Mentor adjunct faculty
  • Monitor curriculum quality and make recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in college-wide committees and attend meetings, orientations, and open-house assemblies
  • Respond to student emails and inquiries
  • Keep current in teaching field and propose curriculum changes as needed
  • Write recommendation letters and provide guidance for graduate school applications
  • Assist with planning, implementing, evaluating, modifying, and assessing current and new programs
Qualifications
  • Master's level or Doctorate level degree in Speech-language Pathology
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and state licensure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching/academia
