Bright Light Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced childcare professional to join our teaching team. As an Assistant Group Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with teachers to implement daily lesson plans and activities.
- Assist in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
- Assist students with personal care routines as needed.
- Two years of experience working with children (2500 hours).
- Must qualify as an Assistant Group Supervisor or higher with the Dept. of Human Services.
- Preferably have a CDA or pursuing Early Childhood Education.
- Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
- A love for children and a desire to work with toddlers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- Bilingual a plus.
- A competitive hourly rate starting at $16.50 up to $17.50 (relative to experience and education).
- A 4-day work week with paid holidays and PTO.
- Sick pay, annual raises, reduced childcare, and more.
