POSITION OVERVIEW

Frischhertz Electric Company, Inc. is expanding its Project Management Team. We are seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to join our commercial division. The compensation package is aligned with experience. Senior Project Managers will report directly to the Director of Project Management and will be responsible for overseeing commercial and industrial electrical projects from the bidding stage through to final completion, while also fostering new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with our existing clientele.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Over 15 years of proven experience in electrical project management (experience with large projects and OSHA 30 certification is advantageous)
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, technologies, equipment, and industry standards
  • Proficient in preparing estimates and take-offs for change orders
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
  • Thorough knowledge of NFPA codes and exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid software is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company effectively
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing the bidding process, analyze blueprints and specifications, review proposals, and coordinate material procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and federal/state regulations; provide regular updates and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Oversee material requisition, submittal compilation, purchase orders, site inspections, change order requests, pay application support, and project close-out documentation.
  • Implement and maintain project schedules, budgets, and all relevant correspondence.
  • Manage documentation control for projects and oversee the submission of requests for information.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities with the Director of Project Management to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within established priorities, timelines, and budgets.
  • Determine methods and procedures for project execution, staffing requirements, and allocation of funds across various project phases.
  • Develop a staffing plan for projects and establish completion timelines.
  • Consult with the Director of Project Management on emerging issues and keep management informed about project progress.
  • Prepare change proposals, claims, and change orders as necessary and negotiate settlements with stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, and other key personnel to facilitate future business opportunities.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Project Management.
