Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Newborn Hearing Screener to join our team at the Apnea Analysis Center Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for performing computerized hearing screens for infants in our designated hospital wellborn nursery and NICU.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receives test requests and performs routine infant hearing screenings, including preparation, placement of electrodes or probes, and ear couplers.
  2. Follows strict guidelines for patient identification and result labeling.
  3. Maintains accurate records and logs, records results appropriately in patient charts, and enters data in the DHS Data Management System.
  4. Checks instrument for malfunction and reports problems to appropriate personnel.
  5. Inventory supplies and reports supply needs to appropriate personnel.
  6. Interacts appropriately with infants, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  7. Organizes and prioritizes work to ensure expeditious delivery of results.
  8. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  9. Fulfills company and hospital procedures and protocols, including infection control, safety awareness, and Quality Assurance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
